Vincent’s Bio: 
Vincent Michelot is Professor of American Politics at Sciences Po Lyon, a school of government and public affairs of which he was the director of international relations and then the president.
A graduate of Ecole Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud, he holds a PhD from Université de Provence (1996) which he wrote on the politics of Supreme Court appointments (1937-1987) and an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (2004) from Sciences Po Paris.
He was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Virginia and also a visiting professor there in 2017.
Professor Michelot is the author of 3 essays on the US presidency, a political biography of JFK, and multiple articles on US institutions and elections. He is a frequent commentator on the French and European media of US politics.
A member of the board of Fulbright France, Vincent Michelot is the vice-president of the scientific advisory committee of the Institut des Amériques, a consortium dedicated to scholarship and policy analysis on the Americas.
